About

Sarah started her yoga journey in 2000 by wandering into a yoga class one day at her local gym. It was the only class available at the time that fit around her new baby girl’s routine and, having always been curious about yoga, she gave it a go. Sarah soon fell in love with the calm tranquil Hatha class that offered her an hour of peace and sanctuary away from her new baby. It allowed an hour to herself to breathe, reflect and just get used to moving her body again.

Not being a naturally flexible person, Sarah soon started to build stamina and strength in her practice.

As Sarah's daughter and family grew, time for practice became less and less, until one day she just stopped practising. The usual stress of life continued but Sarah was never very happy at letting her practice go. "I thought I was being a better mother by being there more for my children, but it wasn’t doing me much good to not practise yoga at some level."

Then one day Sarah's best friend suddenly past away. Consumed with grief for many months afterwards, again she found herself walking into a yoga studio.

"Practising yoga regularly really helped me deal with my grief and helped make me smile again. It made me realise Yoga was supposed to stay in my life "

Eventually after guidance and encouragement from her yoga colleagues and friends she made the choice to do her Vinyasa teacher training with Jason Crandell in 2014 and then went on to train in Yin Yoga with Norman Blair in 2015.

She has attended extensive workshops with Ana Forrest of Forrest Yoga and in 2019 completed her Anusara Elements training with Sarah Powell and Menopause Yoga training with Petra Coveney

Sarah's yoga classes can vary in the styles in which she has trained.
